Yelcho, in Patagonia, is located at km 253 of Route 7 (Carretera Austral), 55 km south of Chaitén.
We are the only accommodation with a hotel, cabins, and campsite directly on the shores of Lake Yelcho, overlooking the northern part of the lake and at the foot of Corcovado National Park. We are the closest point to the Yelcho Glacier and just minutes from Pumalín Park.
Location
Yelcho can be reached by car, boat, bicycle, or public transport from the north or south. To reach Chaitén, you can take a ferry from Puerto Montt or travel by road from the east (Futaleufú) or the south (Coyhaique, etc.).
Chaitén is 30 minutes from Lake Yelcho via Route 7 (Carretera Austral).
On the way from Chaitén to Yelcho is Pumalín Park, in the El Amarillo sector.
From Argentina, the nearest city is Trevelín, which is two hours from Lake Yelcho. Futalefú is located on the road between Argentina and Lake Yelcho.
