Car on the road

You can drive to Yelcho in Patagonia through Argentina, crossing through Puyehue (Osorno) to Villa La Angostura and then on to Bariloche, 125 kilometers from the border (Cardenal Zamoré). Esquel is 300 kilometers from Bariloche and Futaleufú is 73 kilometers away (the last 40 kilometers are unpaved roads). From Futaleufú to Yelcho, there is a 100-kilometer stretch of unpaved road, which takes approximately 2 hours by car. Check the GPS coordinates. Plane

There are regular flights to Chaitén, 60 km from Yelcho, in Patagonia. The drive from Chaitén to the beach resort takes approximately one hour. You can also fly to Esquel, Argentina, which is a 3-hour drive from Yelcho, Patagonia. Barge

Ferries to Chaitén run regularly from Puerto Montt and Quellón. There is also a daily ferry service from Hornopirén to Caleta Gonzalo. The journey from Caleta Gonzalo to Yelcho, in Patagonia, takes approximately two hours. Departure days and times can be found at www.navieraustral.cl
