At Yelcho's restaurant in Patagonia, we cook with what the region provides. Fresh fish and seafood from the Chaitén coast, lamb from nearby farms, garden vegetables when in season, and bread baked fresh from the oven every morning. We don't follow trends; we follow the rhythm of the place.
Locally sourced products, honest preparations
We work with local suppliers from the Palena province. Conger eel, southern hake, mussels, and clams arrive directly from the coast. The lamb comes from local farms. The jams, smoked meats, and cheeses are from producers we know by name. This isn't a marketing concept: it's simply how to eat well in Patagonia—with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, prepared without unnecessary fuss.
Chef's suggestion
Both lunch and dinner operate on a set menu: two starter options, two main courses, and a dessert. The menu changes daily depending on what's fresh and seasonal. We don't have a fixed menu because we prefer to cook with the best ingredients available each day, not with what a printed menu dictates.
Breakfast
The day in Patagonia starts well: freshly baked bread, homemade jams, local cheeses, eggs, seasonal fruit, and coffee or tea. Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:30 and is included for hotel guests. For cabin guests and visitors, breakfast is available at an additional cost.
Our Bar
Draft beer, select Chilean wines, and a pisco sour enjoyed with a view of Lake Yelcho. The bar is open during restaurant hours and is available to both hotel guests and visitors with reservations.
